4D animation is a BIM model + time. Time is added to the model to create an animation which conveys the sequencing of a project. By taking the project plan and the BIM model each stage of the project can be animated. 4D animations are used within the industry for

Interactive animations are   animations that allow the user to move around a model similar to how a person will move around a compter game.

Model Review - As a user can view the model at their own pace it is an excellent project review tool

Clash Detection - Interactive models can be used for clash detection by walking around a model and reviewing items in the model

VR - Virtual Reality

VR - Virtual Reality is getting more popular in the construction industry. VR gives a much more immersive experience then viewing your project on a screen. A user wears a special pair of VR glasses and allows them to walk around the model interactely

 Client & Investor Review - allows the client or investor to get a better understanding of the project by walking around the model interactively

Model Review - VR give a much more immersive experience than viewing a model on a screen or an animation

Clash Detection - the user can walk around the model and review the model for clashes.

Model Coordination - The immersive experience and allow the design team to review and understand the model and help coordination services 

High Resolution Images & Photomontages

High Resolution images are used to view the model from a stating point. These images are used for client presentation, marketing and model review

Photomontages are images where the model is placed into a photograph to view the model in it's environment.
